This is the quintessential chick-lit for young adult readers. From page one i was thrown into a world filled with nothing but bursting emotion and French culture.
Every character is loveable in their own unique way, which makes for a largely dynamic cast. Especially the undeniably gorgeous Etienne St. Claire. Talk about your absolute dream guy i wish i would of ran across when i was in high school. He's caring, smart, and has an accent that is to die for. What isn't there to love?
The way the relationship between Anna and St. Claire builds is what i think makes for a great love story. They slowly get to know each other from the inside out. It's a refreshing change from a lot of other stories out there, where the characters fall in love the first time they meet.
Wonderful. Absolutely genius is what Stephanie Perkins is. I cannot wait for her next novel, and hopefully.. that novel is soon!
I agree that the building relationship btw Anna and Etienne is what makes the book. And every loves a guy with an accent.
